HOUSING INFORMATION
Mandarin Oriental, Miami is situated on prestigious Brickell Key, complete with its own private beach, award-winning soothing spa and highly acclaimed fine dining. Its ideal location is just a leisurely stroll across the bridge to the Brickell financial district and close to popular destinations such as South Beach, downtown and Coconut Grove. Take in views of the still waters of Biscayne Bay and Miami’s striking skyline. All 326 rooms have private balconies with bay views.

RESERVATIONS
A block of rooms and preferred rates will be available through August 16, 2011. The conference room rate is $159/per night (plus 13% in state and local room taxes). All CIO Summit attendees will receive complimentary in-room Internet use as well as access to the fitness center and the spa’s relaxation areas. Rooms can only be reserved through Hospitality Upgrade with a credit card guarantee. A link to the housing reservation system can be found in the official invitation; please do not contact the hotel directly. Pre/post rooms are based on availability; please contact Charlotte Somers at csomers@theciosummit.com to extend your stay.
**Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. After August 16, reservations will be accepted on an as-available basis only, and rates may vary from the group rate.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations for room reservations received before August 16, 2011 will be without penalty. Cancellations received after August 16, 2011 will incur a penalty of 50%. Please note – you must notify Siegel Communications in writing of a cancellation before the first day of the conference (September 7) or we will be obliged to charge the full fee. PLANNING YOUR TRIP
If you are fishing, please plan to arrive at the hotel no later than 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7 to take advantage of our complimentary transportation to the marina. If you are not fishing, please arrive at the hotel no later than 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7. We have a very special activity planned for all attendees during the Welcome Cocktail Reception. You won’t want to miss it.
At the conclusion of the conference on Friday, Sept.9, Hospitality Upgrade will provide a complimentary shuttle back to the Miami International Airport (MIA) at 11:15 a.m. The Miami International Airport (MIA) is located approximately 7 miles/12 minutes (up to 30 minutes during rush hour traffic) from the Mandarin Oriental, Miami.

FREE LIMO TRANSFER / GROUND TRANSPORTATION
The Miami International Airport (MIA) is located approximately 7 miles/12 minutes (up to 30 minutes during rush hour traffic) from the Mandarin Oriental, Miami.
Free Arrival Limo Transfers. Hospitality Upgrade will be offering complimentary limo transfers from both Miami International Airport (MIA) and the Ft Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to the Mandarin Oriental, Miami for attendees arriving on Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Wednesday, Sept. 7. Taxis. Taxicab service is available; fares start at $2.50 plus $0.40 a mile.
Limos. Information for limousine or town car service by the day or hour is available through the Mandarin Oriental Concierge. Cost to and from the airport is on average $160, but varies depending on the vehicle preferred.
Parking. Valet parking is available for $21 daily and $34 overnight.

Free Departure Shuttle. A complimentary shuttle to Miami International Airport (MIA) will be provided at the conclusion of the conference at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.
WEATHER/DRESS
Average September weather in Miami is a high of 89 degrees and a low of 76 degrees. Dress for the conference, including the Gala Reception and Dinner, is business casual. Dress for the Welcome Cocktail Reception and Bayside Barbecue Dinner on Wednesday, Sept 7 is casual and comfortable; this event will be held on the beach and jeans or shorts are acceptable. Please note the Gala Reception and Dinner on Thursday, Sept 8 will be held on a private yacht cruising Biscayne Bay; flat shoes are strongly encouraged..
